This form is to be used by internal transfer applicants who were denied admission into the
A. James Clark School of Engineering and wish to appeal the admission decision.

This form must be submitted within 5 business days from the date you were notified of
your admission status.

Provide a detailed statement explaining why you failed to meet admission criteria, listing any extenuating circumstances
and how they were not the result of poor judgment. Supporting paper documentation such as medical letters,
transcripts, etc. must be submitted to the Associate Dean at four@umd.edu.

Provide a semester by semester plan listing all remaining courses required to graduate in your desired major:

Your appeal will be reviewed based on your current academic standing (including GPA and grades.)
The decision from this appeal is final.
Incomplete appeal applications will be automatically denied.
