Division of Research Research Seminar Series Writing a Successful Fulbright Application
Dr. Andy Riess Consultant and former Director Assistant Director for Outreach Council for International Exchange of Scholars
The Fulbright Scholar Program, sponsored by the United States Department of State, has announced its annual awards competition for faculty/professional staff to teach, conduct research, and participate in other programs abroad for 2014-2015. Applicants are welcome from across the arts and sciences disciplines (including engineering) as well as business and journalism. Due date for applications: August 1, 2013.
UM personnel are invited to attend an on-campus Fulbright workshop, co-sponsored by UM Office of the Vice President for Research and the Office of International Affairs, on Monday, March 25, 2013, 2-4 PM, in room 1101 Holzapfel Hall. Dr. Andy Riess, Assistant Director for Outreach at the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (which administers Fulbright Scholar Programs for the US Department of State), will lead this workshop.
UMD Faculty, researchers and professional staff, as well as graduate students whose PhD will be complete by August 1, 2013, are encouraged to contact Joe Scholten (scholten@umd.edu), UMD Campus Representative for Fulbright Scholars programs, for further information and advice.
