What: Seminar on applying for graduate school fellowships: There's an App for That!

When: 5:15 to 6:30PM, Thursday, April 25, 2013

Where: 1115 CSIC Building (behind the GL Martin Wind Tunnel Bldg)

Learn how to write a great application at the Clark School's Annual "Graduate Fellowships: There's an App for That" Seminar on Thursday, April 25th at 5:15 in the CSIC building lecture hall in room 1115.

Success in grad school depends in large part on your ability to find a fellowship.

Finding a fellowship--NSF, NDSEG, SMART, NASA, etc.--depends on writing a great application.

Seminar Outline:

1 "Keys to a Successful App," by Dr. F. Duvinage

2 "How We Did It," a discussion by current fellowship recipients

3 "How We Rank Apps," a discussion by application review panel members

4 Q & A throughout!

This seminar is appropriate for students at all levels, freshmen through seniors, who think they may be interested in pursuing an advance engineering degree as well as early career graduate students. These programs are, however, restricted to U.S. citizens, nationals and permanent residents. Also, while the NSF and NDSEG programs are only open to students who are within the first three semesters of their first graduate degree program, some of the other programs, e.g. the SMART Fellowships, are open to students at all stages of undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

This Event is For: Graduate • Undergraduate
