Inspiring Generations of Young Engineers
Pulse Doppler radar. The universal product code. Flexible coronary artery stents. The asynchronous transfer mode switch.
These wide-ranging technologies, which enhance everyday life for millions of people around the world, are only a few of the many pioneered by Clark School alumni, faculty and friends, and celebrated in the Clark School’s Innovation Hall of Fame.
The automatic parachute. Satellite surveillance. The maser (precursor of the laser). Retractable airplane landing gear.
These and many more advances featured in the Innovation Hall of Fame serve to inspire Clark School students and the many visitors who pass through the hall each year.
You can share in that inspiration! We encourage you to:
- Tour the hall through this site or by visiting the Jeong H. Kim Engineering Building (where the hall is physically located)
- Attend our annual induction ceremony, together with the White Symposium on Engineering Innovation
- Nominate a Clark School innovator you feel has merited this high honor
- Appreciate the contributions made by Clark School engineers and become part of our long tradition of engineering innovation.
