TAP Participant Named Incubator Company of the Year

Innovative Biosensors College Park start-up and a member of the Clark School's Technology Assistance Program (TAP), has been named the 2005 Maryland Life Science Incubator Company of the Year.

Innovative Biosensors develops rapid, ultra-sensitive tests to detect harmful pathogens such as E-coli. In addition to being a TAP member, it was a recipient of funding through the Maryland Industrial Partnerships Program (MIPS) and released its first product in January of this year.

The company was a finalist in both the Life Science and Technology Transfer categories of the competition.

The Maryland Incubator of the Year Awards are sponsored by the Maryland Technology Development Corporation, American Express Tax and Business Services, the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development and Saul Ewing LLP.
