Solar House Shines

The UM Solar Decathlon team won the People's Choice Award as the favorite home of the thousands of visitors to the 2005 Solar Decathlon on the National Mall.

The team took 8th place overall in the competition.

Full competition results can be found on the Department of Energy Solar Decathlon web site.

The UM team is still looking for sponsors for their house, which is being donated to the Red Wiggler Community Farm in Germantown, Md., where it will house one of the farm's staff. If you are interested in supporting the team and the house, please contact Najahyia Chinchilla.
