Graduate Engineering Programs Reach Hagerstown, Md.

The Clark School's graduate engineering programs are expanding their reach to Hagerstown, Md., beginning in January.

Professional Master of Engineering and Graduate Certificate in Engineering programs will be available at the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown.

"Increasing the number of highly trained engineers and technical professionals has been a long-time goal in Maryland and specifically in Washington County," said Tim Troxell, executive director of the Washington County Economic Development Commission. "Providing local access to such a highly ranked engineering program will help current engineers stay competitive and provide an additional incentive to technology firms to operate in our region."

The Clark School has offered graduate education programs to working engineers and technical professionals throughout Maryland via a network of regional educational sites. More than 600 students have graduated from such programs since their inception in 1994.

Courses are taught by full-time, experienced adjunct faculty via the University System of Maryland's Interactive Video Network.

Prospective students are welcome to attend an open house on December 1 from 5-7 p.m. at the center in Hagerstown.

A similar session will be offered for employers, technology leaders and human resource specialists who would like to learn more. This session will also be on December 1, at 2 p.m. at the center. Please call 240-527-2060 to RSVP.
