$50K Business Plan Competition: Enter Now!

The University of Maryland $50K Business Plan Competition, hosted by the Clark School's Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute, is accepting entries until February 13, 2006.

The competition, open to faculty, students and young alumni, enables entrants to:

  • Develop their innovations into ventures with one-to-one coaching and expert feedback;
  • Launch tomorrow's leading firms today with the prestige and credibility that comes with winning a major competition;
  • And win a share of $50,000 in prizes to invest in their companies.

Now in its sixth year, the UM $50K Business Plan Competition has historically awarded a total of $285,000 in prizes to faculty, students and alumni to launch innovative new ventures. Companies active in the competition have generated millions in revenues, grants and awards.
