Clark Construction Group, LLC, will receive the prestigious Honor Award for 2006 from the National Building Museum later this year. A. James Clark, alumnus and benefactor of the Clark School, will accept the award on June 8 at a gala in the museum's historic Great Hall.

Bestowed annually since 1986, the National Building Museum's Honor Award recognizes outstanding individuals and companies who have made significant contributions in the fields of architecture, planning, construction and building. Clark Construction will be the 20th recipient and joins such celebrated past honorees as the Rockefeller and Pritzker families, Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Michael D. Eisner and The Walt Disney Company, the U.S. General Services Administration, among others.

Clark Construction, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, is being honored for its work in Washington, D.C., and across the nation, as well as its commitment to community service.

The National Building Museum web site states, "[Clark] has helped shape the commercial, residential, public, and infrastructure sectors of our cities while upholding the highest standards of safety, craftsmanship, and technical excellence."
