Norris Krone, Jr., '55, '74 Ph.D., is the recipient of this year's Distinguished Engineering Alumnus Award and will be honored at the Fifth Annual University of Maryland Awards Gala on April 17, 2004.

Krone is the president and CEO of the University Research Foundation responsible for the direction of all aspects of the Maryland Advanced Development Laboratory’s technical, financial and program management activities. He is also leader and founder of the Maryland Small Aircraft Laboratory, a NASA-sponsored alliance of 14 organizations.
