Siwak Awarded ARCS Fellowship
Nathan Siwak, a graduate student advised by Herbert Rabin Distinguished Associate Professor Reza Ghodssi (ECE/ISR), has won a 2009 Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS) Fellowship.
Nathan conducts research in the MEMS (Microelectromechanical systems) Sensors and Actuators Laboratory. His research activities are currently focused on creating cantilever microsystems that can detect various gases, vapors, aerosols, or other analytes of interest.
The ARCS fellowship offers student recipients a renewable award of $15K per year. The award is sponsored by the Metropolitan Washington Chapter of the ARCS Foundation, Inc.
