Prof. Shuvra Bhattacharyya

Professor Shuvra Bhattacharyya (ECE/UMIACS) has been selected for a Fulbright Senior Specialists Grant at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, Austria. The grant will provide support for Bhattacharyya to provide advice on a new Masters Program that the university is developing in Embedded Signal Processing.

This is Prof. Bhattacharyya's second Fulbright Senior Specialist Grant. The first one he received was for a short course that he taught on hardware and software design methodology for digital signal processing systems at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, in 2005.

Founded by the U.S. government in 1946, Fulbright grants are awarded on behalf of the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Department of State and the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES). As a Fulbright grant winner, Bhattacharyya joins the ranks of distinguished scholars and professionals worldwide who are leaders in the educational, political, economic, social and cultural development of their countries.
