Workshop to Focus on Water Sustainability
On April 22, Earth Day, the Clark School will host its second annual Engineering Sustainability Workshop with a focus on water. The event will start at 8:45 a.m. in the Kay Boardrooms of the Jeong H. Kim Engineering Building.
The event will include speakers and panelists from the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin, the National Wildlife Federation, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin, the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, the Maryland Department of the Environment and the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission.
G. Tracy Mehan, III, principal at The Cadmus Group, Inc., and former assistant administrator for water at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, will deliver the keynote address.
Several faculty, students and outside experts will give presentations in the afternoon on a variety of water sustainability topics.
