Gov. O'Malley to Keynote I-270 Tech Event

The Clark School of Engineering has partnered with Bisnow Media to explore the "State of Tech in the I-270 Corridor," an event that will feature Governor Martin O'Malley as keynote speaker along with distinguished panelists to discuss the state and future of technology development in Maryland on Tuesday, June 1.

Clark School Dean Darryll Pines and Mark Bisnow, CEO of Bisnow Media, will lead a panel of technology leaders to discuss "how do the top Maryland tech players envision the future of the I-270 tech corridor, where will future development occur, where will companies focus their development & strategic efforts, and how will federal and state government assist the sector’s growth?"

The event is a part of Bisnow Media's "Breakfast & Schmooze" event series, which brings leaders in a variety of industries together to discuss current topics.

C. Dan Mote, Jr., UM president, will provide introductory remarks. Panelists will include Norman Augustine, retired CEO of Lockheed Martin; David Mott, former CEO of MedImmune; Tom Scholl, general partner at Novak Biddle Venture Partners; Todd Gibby, CEO of Intelliworks; and Jonathan M. Redgrave, partner at Nixon Peabody, LLP.

The event will be held on the morning of June 1 at the The Universities at Shady Grove Conference Center. For more information on the event and registration please go to I-270 Tech Corridor. Registration is required.
