Dear Clark School Friends,

How small is small? Will programmable "microbots" diagnose and treat heart disease? Is software overrated and hardware the future of IT?

We'll explore these questions during the inaugural Charles and Helen White Symposium on Wednesday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. Please do not miss this opportunity to be a part of an exciting academic discussion probing the future implications of the interconnections of bioengineering, information technology and nanotechnology.

Following the symposium, we will continue our journey into the future and celebrate the groundbreaking of the Jeong H. Kim Engineering Building at 2 p.m. This is not your typical ribbon-cutting, shovel and hard-hat event, so you won't want to miss it.
