Alumna Davis a White House Champion of Change
Clark School civil engineering alumna Veronica Davis (B.S. '01) is being honored by the White House as a Transportation Champion of Change.
Davis co-owns Nspiregreen LLC, where she is a principal planning manager. Dubbed a "transportation guru" by the White House, she is being recognized for work including the creation of an annual transportation summit for her community and the formation of a women's biking group. She serves on the Citizens Advisory Council for the Transportation Planning Board in the Washington, D.C., region.
Davis mentioned her time at the Clark School in a statement about the award: "During my junior year at the University of Maryland, College Park, I took a class that taught me being a good civil engineer is more than designing civil infrastructure; it is also about considering the concerns of the people."
