Who Funds This?

• Direct access to our graduate students ... and preferential treatment when those grad students start inteviewing. Note that these students know more about memory systems than just about anyone else in academia.
• Direct input into the topics we study. Want a question answered? a design space explored and evaluated? an anomaly explained? a next-generation design created? Suggest it, and we'll do it.
• Early access to our research results. Industry supporters see the results of our studies months, perhaps years, before they go public ... or, in many cases, the results never go public (see the next bullet).
• Proprietary research. We prefer to do research that can be published, but in the past we have certinaly done NDA-covered, unpublished research specific to a company's needs.
• Intellectual Property issues need not be an issue. The IP issue has been addressed by others in academia who have set this precedent, so we are not doing anything novel here. We've signed NDAs (and kept to them); we've done agreements wherein the IP we develop resides with the company, etc. Anything is possible.
